During this event on the 29th of June, held in collaboration with Formation Group, you will have a chance to mix with professionals and industry leaders and enjoy insights into the most innovative and cutting edge platforms and devices.

VC-meetup

Our investor meetup will give you a chance to get face time with some of the world’s top angel investors and venture capitalists, including IDG, Sequoia, GGV, Zhenfund and more. Entrepreneurs will be given ten minutes to chat with VC mentors about anything from their business plan to fundraising and even market trends.

Startup-Alley

Our startup alley invites hundreds of local and international startups to share their vision with media, investors and other industry professionals. Preference is given to younger startups, particularly those less than two years old with under $1 million USD in total funding, though we invite entrepreneurs from all tech-related industries to showcase their business.

Hackathon

Our Hackathon is a staple across all major TechCrunch events, and one of top industry startup events globally. Each team will have 24 hours to complete a product design and create a beta product.This year we are inviting judges from global top 500 companies to pick the winning projects.

TechCrunch China has made some impressive advances over the past three years. The event attracted over 3000 attendees in Shanghai, 2013 and over 6000 in 2015 at our Beijing event. In 2016, TechCrunch China is unstoppable, as one of the top industry events in the Chinese tech ecosystem.

This year, for the first time, TechCrunch Shanghai will be held over five days. On June 25th hundreds of programmers, developers and business minds will join us to kick off the TechCrunch Shanghai Hackathon, a 24 hour intensive brainstorming event designed to bring out some of the best in Chinese tech innovation.

From the 27th to the 28th, international entrepreneurs, VCs, startups and other industry professionals will take the stage for two days of cutting edge talks and panels covering the hottest topics in technology today. At the same time, entrepreneurs will have a chance to mingle with high-level VCs and angel investors during our VC Meetup event.

Some of the country’s best young startups will also have a chance to strut their stuff in our Startup Alley, with an expected 250 startups expected to take the floor over two days. Our Alley startups, hailing from different regions and countries, will have a chance to rub shoulders with top-level investors and media.

On the 29th, TechCrunch China will hold our first-ever Asian virtual reality and augmented reality summit in collaboration with Formation Group, all the way from Silicon Valley. We’ll also invite industry-leading entrepreneurs and top Chinese device companies and content producers, including Oculus, HTC, Samsung and NextVR. Participants will exhibit their latest products and discuss the hottest trends in hardware, content and capital.
